Can you learn on an electric violin and wears the best place on the net to get a begginers violin?

I want to know can you learn on an electric violin also wear is the best place to but violins on the net. I know every one says dont buy violins on the net but I only have one store by me and I cant get to it. Also I jest want to know violin 101. Thanks for your help relly.

DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY! i bought a guitar there really cheap and the paint came off easily, the strings were horrible, and it didn’t even sound like a guitar!

wood wind and brass wind is a great online store that sells orchestra and band items. here are al the violins that carry http://www.wwbw.com/Violins-Orchestral-Strings.wwbw?o=1 (be sure to check other pages too)
some are cheap, but great student instrments. they also carry electric violins, which are ohkay to learn on.
